International Faculty Exchange Week 2024
2–8 November 2024 | UUM Sintok, Malaysia
Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is pleased to invite distinguished lecturers from international universities to join us for the International Faculty Exchange Week (IFEX) 2024. This event, scheduled from 2–8 November 2024, offers a unique opportunity for scholars to engage with our vibrant academic community, multi-cultural society and share their expertise on a global platform.
About IFEX @ UUM 2024:
Embrace the chance to become a visiting lecturer at UUM, where you can impart knowledge on selected topics while being hosted by our friendly and experienced academic staff.
Requirements for Visiting Lecturers:
- A PhD holder
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a full-time academic staff
- Ability to teach six hours (1.5H during IFEX @UUM 2024 and 4.5H remotely)
- Willingness to participate in academic activities set by the Dean

UUM International Faculty Exchange Week 2023 (IFEX @UUM 2023)
Centre for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC) organises the UUM International Faculty Exchange Week 2023 (IFEX @UUM 2023) held on 5-9 November 2023.
IFEX @UUM 2023 is our first-ever program focusing on global collaboration, and we are excited to have six visiting lecturers from our partner universities in Indonesia join us at UUM. There are three from Universitas Komputer Indonesia, one from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, one from Universitas Islam Indonesia, and one from Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry. They will engage with the School of Computing (SOC), School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML), School of Applied Psychology, Social Work and Policy (SAPSP), and School of Creative Industry Management and Performing Arts (SCIMPA)
The programme emphasises cross-cultural teaching and learning, knowledge sharing, and building international connections between the visiting lecturers, UUM lecturers, and students. The visiting lecturers teach topics in the selected courses and join activities arranged for them by the host schools.
