Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) recently hosted a delegation from Hang Seng University (HSU) of Hong Kong, marking a significant milestone in the partnership that took root at the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference 2024. During the conference, UUM, represented by Prof. Dr. Mohd Azizuddin, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) engaged in preliminary discussions that successfully reached a common goal of fostering international collaboration and mutual academic growth. This visit reaffirms both institutions’ unwavering commitment to enhancing global partnerships and promoting academic excellence on an international scale.

During their visit to UUM, the delegation from HSU, led by Dr. Ken Yau (Head of Global Affairs) and accompanied by Ms. Mary Ip (Global Affairs Manager) and Ms. Sherraine Chiu (Senior Executive Officer), engaged in productive discussions with CIAC. The discussions focused on operationalizing a student exchange program to foster cross-cultural understanding and create impactful academic collaborations between the two institutions.

The delegation also experienced UUM’s vibrant campus life during an engaging tour that showcased the university’s innovative programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and strong commitment to internationalization and quality education. CIAC’s team warmly welcomed the HSU representatives, highlighting the unique aspects that make the university a hub for academic and cultural excellence.
