UUM ONLINE: Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has achieved a significant milestone by maintaining its position within the 151-200 band of the world’s best universities based on the QS Global MBA Rankings 2025.
This accomplishment positions UUM as the top university in Malaysia and has propelled it to the 23rd position out of 28 in Asia, reaffirming its status as a leading management education centre in the region.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan expressed his delight with the achievement.
According to him, UUM not only retained its position, but also improved its ranking from 28th to 23rd in the Asian rankings, which is truly remarkable.
"Congratulations and my utmost gratitude to all UUM staff who are directly or indirectly involved, especially OYAGSB.
"I hope this achievement does not lead to complacency, but instead inspires us to continue striving to sustain and improve UUM's position on the international stage," he said.
QS Global MBA Rankings 2025 evaluated 340 MBA programmes globally, assessing their institutional performance based on five main indicators, namely Diversity, Alumni Outcomes, Return On Investment (ROI), Thought Leadership, and Employability.
According to the published report, UUM's position in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2025 has steadily improved over the past four years. The OYA GSB Programme was ranked between the 201-250 range in 2022 and 2023, before ascending to 151-200 band in 2024 and maintaining this ranking in 2025.
The advancement achieved is the result of continuous efforts to ensure that the graduates produced can fulfil the requirements of the worldwide job markets and emerge as respected leaders across various sectors.
