UUM ONLINE: Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB) hosted yet another workshop that focused on case study, bringing together faculty members, students, and industry experts to explore innovative teaching methodologies using case study facilitated by Harvard Business Publishing (HBP), an entity of Harvard Business School.
The workshop featured interactive sessions led by renowned HBP facilitator, Prof. Dr. Peter Bryant, a professor from IE Business School, offering participants a deep dive into effective teaching case study-based Harvard Business School teaching techniques. Attendees gained valuable insights into real-world business scenarios, leveraging HBP's extensive case study approaches.
"This collaboration represents our commitment to fostering cutting-edge academic practices and ensure experiential learning especially for postgraduate programmes," remarked Prof. Dr. Hassan Abu Bakar, the Dean of OYAGSB. "By partnering with a leader like Harvard Business Publishing, we aim to enrich our curriculum and provide our students with a real business context and experiences."
Participants hail from diverse backgrounds, including finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship, reflecting the workshop's interdisciplinary appeal. Through engaging discussions and hands-on sessions, attendees explored best practices in case study development and implementation.
Looking ahead, the Graduate Business School plans to expand its collaboration with Harvard Business Publishing, aiming to integrate more case studies and business simulation into its curriculum. The success of this workshop sets a promising precedent for future academic initiatives aimed at enhancing student learning and up-to-date business practices.
