The delegates participated in a work and study visit to UUM from 22 to 27 April.
The manager of the Future Learning and Development Competence Centre (FLanDeCC), Assoc. Prof. Dr Fauziah Md. Jaafar, said the main objective of the programme was to enhance teachers' proficiency in communicating in English for the purpose of teaching and learning in secondary schools in Thailand.
Ten teachers, each possessing substantial experience and expertise in teaching various subjects, attended the knowledge tour. The purpose of the tour was to foster the growth and ongoing development of the teaching profession in order to achieve worldwide education excellence.
"The three main focuses are Green ELT, Diversity, Digital Leadership, Positive Education as well as study tours to Perlis, Kedah, and Penang.
"This programme aims to share knowledge and skills related to non-threatening pedagogy in the form of out-of-class learning (PBLD), which offers an alternative approach that emphasises authentic experiences outside the classroom environment," she said.
Dr Fauziah further reiterated that the programme was expected to assist teachers in assessing their preparation level and devising suitable strategies.
According to her, the programme provided the teachers with an extensive array of opportunities to enhance their teaching abilities, thus developing the world-class teaching capabilities required in the new millennium for preserving a greener ecosystem.
