It was an exciting Gala Night in which a UUM international student from Indonesia,  Muhammad Thoriq Albaasith Lesmana, known as Galba Lesmana, won a Malay singing competition, competing with seven other contestants among USM international students and other universities. The Gala Cultural Night is the ultimate event in the International Cultural Fiesta, starting early morning on Friday, 15 December 2023, at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Galba from Jakarta is well-known for his singing talent, which led to his selection as a UUM representative to participate in the competition. He sang “Isabella”, a 1980s song, and astonished more than 1000 audience in the hall with his outstanding voice, Malay language fluency, and performance.
