GLOBAL NOTE #3: What to Do If Your Student Pass Expires While You’re at Your Home Country?

We hope this message finds you well! To all our international students who may find themselves with an expired student pass while at home, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered!

We understand how important it is for you to stay on track with your studies at UUM, so we’ve outlined a simple and clear guide to help you return to campus seamlessly.

📋 What Should You Do If Your Student Pass Expires While You’re at Home?

• Start Fresh with a New Application
  Submit your application via the EMGS website using your original offer letter. It’s the first step to your return journey!
• Stay in the Loop
  Monitor your application’s progress on the EMGS Tracking System. Respond quickly to any updates or document requests to avoid delays.
• Request Your Certification of Study
  This essential document can be obtained from your Graduate School. Make sure it includes:
• Your registration date (Day/Month/Year).
• Confirmation of your online class participation.
• Proof that you’re continuing in the same program.
• Your estimated program completion date is (Month/Year).
• Show Your Progress
  Get your latest progress report from your supervisor to highlight your academic achievements so far.
• Secure Your Visa Approval Letter (VAL)
  Keep checking the EMGS Tracking System! Once your application reaches 80% completion, download your VAL and apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) to enter Malaysia.
• Welcome Back to Malaysia!
  Upon arrival, head to the Immigration Lane for International Students for your entry stamp. Then, submit your passport and required documents at U-Assist UUM (Counter 24) to process your student pass.
• Activate Your Student Status
  Finally, visit your Graduate School with your student pass to reactivate your status and continue your academic journey with us!
