UUM Hosts the 5th Meeting of the ASEAN University Network - Student Affairs Network (AUN-SAN)
10-12 July 2024
UUM Sintok

UUM warmly welcomes all Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Student Affairs and Alumni), officers from AUN universities, and members of the ASEAN University Network - Student Affairs Network (AUN-SAN) to the 5th AUN-SAN Meeting from 10-12 July 2024.

This meeting provides a platform for regional leaders to meet and foster closer cooperation among ASEAN University members. It is an opportunity to discuss important matters such as promoting student and academic mobility in the East Asia region and designing high-impact international programs and activities.

The theme for this year's meeting, 'The Change in the World of Student Affairs,' is particularly relevant. The pandemic that struck the world in 2020 brought significant and drastic changes to management patterns and work culture in all higher education institutions worldwide, especially in the context of conducting academic activities and student development.

Prof. Dr Ahmad Martadha Mohamed, UUM's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) and chairman of the AUN-SAN aims to reactivate the network. The last meeting was held in 2020 at Chiang Mai University. By re-engaging the network, Prof. Dr Ahmad Martadha seeks to strengthen strategic relationships among AUN-SAN members and drive forward the collective mission of enhancing student affairs in the region.

As hosts, UUM is honoured to provide a conducive environment for productive discussions and meaningful collaborations. We are committed to ensuring that all delegates experience the warm hospitality and serene surroundings that UUM is known for. We hope your stay will be both enjoyable and fruitful, and the bonds formed during this meeting will lead to lasting partnerships and innovative initiatives.

Welcome to UUM, and we look forward to a successful and impactful meeting.
